Ermua - Eibar - Ermua bus transportation

The bus line DB 04 - Mallabia - Ermua - Eibar - Elgoibar - Mendaro - Ondarroa runs every 20 minutes Monday to Friday, and every 60 minutes Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets can be bought directly from the driver saying the destination (either Eibar or Ermua) and paid only cash.

When going from Ermua to Eibar the bus marks the following possible destinations: Mendaro Hospital or Ondarroa. When going from Eibar to Ermua, the bus marks the following possible desinations: Ermua or Mallabia.

There is a bus stop in front of the Hotel Villa de Ermua (called "Gipuzkoa Etorbidea 56") to go from Ermua to Eibar. In Eibar, there is a bus stop next to the trainings venue (called "Escuela de Armería", then another one in the city center (the next one after the trainings venue, called "Unzaga"), and more down the city (called "Bidebarrieta"). From there you can walk to the conference venue (5-10 minutes walk).

To go from Eibar to Ermua, there is a bus stop just in front of the conference venue (stop is called "Errebal"), another one in the city center (called "San Juan kalea 7"), and another one in 2 minutes walk from the trainings venue (called "Torrekua - Amaña"). The bus stops in front of the Hotel Villa de Ermua (stop is called "Gipuzkoa Etorbidea, 23").

To get off at any stop, you need to push the Stop button in the bus to let the driver know.

Ermua - Eibar - Ermua train transportation

The regional EuskoTren trains run every 10 to 15 minutes (4 trains per hour) from Ermua to Eibar. Tickets should be bought in the ticket machines present in every station or platform, and must be validated before entering the train in the validators. Be aware that if you do not buy and validate your ticket here you will not be able to get out the train station in Eibar.

There is a train station in 2 minutes walk from the Hotel Villa de Ermua, it is called "Errotabarri". When going from Ermua to Eibar, you can board any train with the following destinations: Eibar, Elgoibar, Deba or Amara - Donostia.

Eibar has several train stops, these are the most convenient for you (all trains stop in these stations):

  • Amaña - Eibar: to go to the trainings and sprints venue
  • Ardantza - Eibar: city center, to go to Eibarrooms or Unzaga Plaza hotels.
  • Eibar: main station, to go to the Conference venue.

When going from Eibar to Ermua, you can board any train with the following destinations: Ermua, Durango or Matiko - Bilbao

Bilbao Airport - Eibar - Bilbao Airport

Bilbao Airport has a direct bus service running every 3 hours from the arrivals hall to Eibar central bus station (next to Eibarrooms and Unzaga Plaza hotels).

The bus line is DG56B Aeropuerto de Bilbao - Eibar - Bergara - Arrasate - Oñati and the bus departs from the arrivals hall. The bus company running the service is called Lurraldebus. The ticket costs 8.00 €.

There is a ticket machine on the arrivals hall (on the right) which accepts major credit cards. Moreover the bus driver also accepts cash (but they don't accept bank notes of more than 20 €).

Bilbao - Eibar - Bilbao

From the Bilbao Central Bus Station - Termibus, the bus line A3926 Bilbao - Ermua - Eibar (Autopista) takes you to Eibar and Ermua. This bus line runs every hour from 6:40 to 21:40, Monday to Saturday, and 7:40 to 21:40 on Sundays. The ticket costs 3,35 €. The bus company running this service is Bizkaibus.
